Recognizing the Difference Between Cluster Headaches and Migraines

Often times, patients will confuse cluster headaches and migraines due to the similar symptoms they bring on. Still, there are some ways in which you can tell the difference between these two debilitating conditions. For starters, migraines tend to come on slowly, whereas cluster headaches may appear more suddenly and without warning. Furthermore, migraines tend to bring along warning cues, such as a sudden "aura" or light or the appearance of flashing lights. Cluster headaches, on the other hand, tend to be felt only on one side of the head and don't tend to last as long as migraines, though the pain may be just as distinct.

So, how can upper cervical chiropractic care help with your symptoms of cluster headaches or migraines? Specifically, by adjusting/correcting the alignment of the cervical spine (the top two neck bones in the spine), we're able to bring the body into better overall alignment and health. This is especially true when you consider how closely related the cervical spine and the body's central nervous system are. Through adjustment of the upper cervical spine, we can help you find relief from persistent cluster headaches, migraines, and similar health concerns. This treatment has also been found to help relieve symptoms related to sciatica, back pain, neck pain, arthritis, and more.
